The 2025–2026 leadership team of Rotaract Club of HOPE 604 is dedicated to advancing youth leadership, community service, and sustainable impact. Guided by Rotary values, our officers and directors work collaboratively to serve our members and the wider community.

Pam Gervacio

2025-2026 President, Rotaract HOPE 604 and Chartered Member since 2023

Passionate and task-oriented, Pam approaches every responsibility with excellence, guided by her personal philosophy: “Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God and as if it is your last day of life.”

Pam Gervacio is the current President of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604, previously serving as the club’s Foundation Chair and Learning Facilitator while holding dual membership in both Rotary and Rotaract. She is also a Third Blue Sapphire Paul Harris Fellow, recognizing her exceptional and ongoing support for The Rotary Foundation. Pamela is proud to be one of the chartered members who revived Rotaract HOPE 604, helping shape it into a thriving community of service and leadership.

Pam is deeply passionate and task-oriented. When entrusted with a responsibility, she makes it a point to execute it with excellence, guided by her personal philosophy: “Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God and as if it is your last day of life.”

She has been a driving force behind many impactful local and international projects, including:

  • Collaboration Project with Richmond Rotaract of the Moon Cake Festival Fundraiser, providing two coffee urns for the Seniors Intercultural Society of BC, Feeding and mentoring 100 children in a remote community in Quezon City, Philippines and portion went to the humanitarian project for the victims of war.
  • Adopt-a-Village Project in Laos, providing two families with clean-water filters
  • Park cleanups and community environmental initiatives
  • The Bench Project, honoring over 30 volunteers who supported the club’s first Miyawaki Forest Method planting
  • Her leadership in the Miyawaki project inspired young adults to join the club, making her the Top Membership Builder, successfully recruiting 10 new members. The club continues to support children in the Philippines through the programs she initiated.

    In 2024, Pam advanced her environmental advocacy by securing a District Grant to raise awareness of the 300+ migratory bird species in Terra Nova, where the club planted trees using the Miyawaki method. She also authored the published book: Roots of Hope: The Inaugural Miyawaki Project for Rotaract HOPE 604 ISBN: 978-1-0694182-0-3. A legacy that will. be archived in the Library and Archives Canada.

    Pam was entrusted to serve as the Chair of the 2024 Foundation Dinner, where her leadership helped successfully raise $20,000 for The Rotary Foundation.

    Guided by Akira Miyawaki’s words—“Even if the world ends tomorrow, I will still plant a tree”—Pamela continues to lead Rotaract HOPE 604 with passion, excellence, and a commitment to service, environmental stewardship, and youth empowerment.

    She has led impactful projects locally and internationally, including feeding and mentoring 100 children in the Philippines, providing water filters to families in Laos, environmental initiatives using the Miyawaki Forest Method, and fundraisers such as the Moon Cake Festival. She also authored the book: Roots of Hope: The Inaugural Miyawaki Project for Rotaract HOPE 604 (ISBN 978-1-0694182-0-3).

    Pam's leadership extends to membership growth, environmental advocacy, and raising $20,000 for The Rotary Foundation as Chair of the 2024 Foundation Dinner. She continues to inspire youth, serve communities, and champion projects that make a lasting impact.



    Patty Strowbridge

    2025-2026 Vice- President, Rotaract HOPE 604

    Patricia “Patty” Strowbridge is the current Vice-President of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604 and the Lead Chair for the 2025 “Rescue the Sea Lions” environmental project at the Vancouver Aquarium, part of the club’s April 2025 Environment theme initiative.

    Born and raised in the Philippines, Patty completed her Bachelor of Arts at De La Salle University – Taft, earning a full athletic scholarship as a varsity volleyball player. Her athletic career is highlighted by competing for—and captaining—the Philippine Junior National Volleyball Team, proudly representing the country in major Asian and ASEAN tournaments.

    After immigrating to Canada, Patty began her professional journey in the financial industry as a Mortgage Planning Specialist with one of the nation’s largest financial firms. She later became an independent mortgage broker, now carrying over 14 years of experience helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership and financial goals. Today, she serves clients through Dominion Lending Centres – A Better Way, where she is valued for her client-first approach, industry expertise, and belief that “having the right mortgage matters.”

    Patty is passionate about community service, youth development, and environmental stewardship. In Rotaract HOPE 604, she plays an active role in both local and international initiatives, contributing leadership, creativity, and heart to every project. Her community involvement also includes volunteering as a coach and board member for Whalley Little League and coaching young volleyball athletes—continuing her dedication to empowering the next generation.

    From national athlete to respected financial professional and Rotaract leader, Patty’s journey reflects her values of teamwork, resilience, leadership, and service. Whether she’s guiding a family toward the right mortgage, mentoring youth, or leading environmental projects, she approaches every responsibility with purpose, passion, and integrity.



    CJ Peroy

    2025-2026 Secretary, Rotaract HOPE 604, Chartered Member since 2023

    CJ Peroy is the elected Secretary for the 2025–2026 term of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604 and has been a proud chartered member since 2023. Known for her hard work, honesty, and genuine kindness, CJ brings passion and integrity to everything she does.

    She lives by the belief: “The best thing I learned this year was how to still enjoy life during my storms… My entire world can be in chaos and I will still try to find a reason to laugh and smile.”

    CJ joined Rotaract because of her desire to help others, and she is widely admired for her generosity, loyalty, and big heart. A natural performer, she loves to sing and is known for her powerful high notes—reminiscent of the iconic Aegis band from the Philippines.

    Her leadership in the Miyawaki project inspired young adults to join the club, making her the Top Membership Builder, successfully recruiting 10 new members. The club continues to support children in the Philippines through the programs she initiated.

    Always well-presented and full of positivity, CJ adds joy, warmth, and dedication to the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604.



    Sterling Rios

    2025-2026 Treasurer, Rotaract HOPE 604, Chartered Member since 2023

    Sterling Rios is the Treasurer of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604 and one of its dedicated chartered members. Known for being hardworking, reliable, and deeply committed to service, Sterling has consistently been one of the club’s most dependable Board members—previously serving as Membership Chair for 2023–2024.

    Born in Edmonton and raised in Calgary, Sterling learned early the value of resilience and growth. His journey led him to Vancouver, where his passion for music, mixology, and community connection flourished. His experience later expanded to Toronto, where he bartended at major events such as TIFF, Queen’s Plate Festival, and multiple film premieres—including A Star Is Born. These experiences inspired his interest in personal finance and financial literacy.

    Sterling pursued studies in financial management and real estate at UBC, shaping his mission to help others build stronger financial futures. Guided by the wisdom, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the second-best time is now,” he actively promotes financial empowerment in the community.

    As Treasurer, Sterling brings discipline, integrity, and a calm, steady leadership style to the Board. His dedication to lifelong learning and community service continues to inspire those around him, making him a valued and respected leader within HOPE 604.



    Manish Karki

    2025-2026 Membership Chair Director, Rotaract HOPE 604

    Manish Karki is an international student from Nepal and a proud member of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604. Before joining in Canada, he was an active Rotaractor with the Rotaract Club of Newroad Pokhara. Recently, Manish completed his Master’s Degree in Business – Marketing Specialization, marking a major milestone in his academic journey.

    Manish’s passion for service began when he was just an elementary student in Nepal. He once received a school bag and supplies from a Rotaract Club—a moment that inspired him for life. Because of that childhood experience, Manish led a fundraising initiative that successfully provided 50 school bags to students in Nepal, giving back to the community that once supported him.

    Since joining HOPE 604, Manish has become a positive influence on the entire club. He encourages members to enjoy the outdoors through hiking, promotes healthy habits, and leads with discipline and integrity. He is known for being respectful, hardworking, and committed to following rules—qualities that make him a dependable and trusted member of the team.

    Manish also played a key role in strengthening international connections. He initiated the Twinning and Collaboration between Rotaract HOPE 604 and his home club in Newroad Pokhara, helping both clubs learn from each other. He introduced new project ideas and shared how Rotaract is done in Nepal, enriching the experience for everyone.

    In August, during Rotary’s Membership and New Club Development Month, Manish chaired the club’s COTS (Club Officers Training Seminar) project. As Membership Chair, he successfully recruited three new members, making him the club’s Top Builder Champion of the year.

    Disciplined, dedicated, and service-driven, Manish continues to inspire those around him—living proof that one act of kindness can spark a lifelong journey of giving back.



    PP Dublin Deus

    2025-2026 Public Relation and Director of Rotaract HOPE. 604 Chartered member 2023, 2019-2020 Past President of Rotaract Club of 604.

    Dublin Deus is a dedicated community leader whose perseverance, generosity, and unwavering spirit have played a vital role in the revival and growth of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604. As one of the pioneer and chartered members of the club under its new identity, Dublin has been instrumental in keeping the spirit of service alive—even in moments when club attendance was low. His persistence and “never give up” attitude helped rebuild the foundation of HOPE 604 into the strong and vibrant club it is today.

    A psychology major at Langara College, Dublin has a deep curiosity for understanding human behaviour and the human mind. His passion for safety and service also extends into his professional life as an OFA2 attendant at the Chemtrade facility, where he prioritizes the well-being and safety of others in a demanding industrial environment.

    Dublin’s commitment to community safety continues through his volunteer work as a field trainer at the Collingwood Policing Centre, where he shares valuable skills and knowledge to support public safety initiatives.

    In the community, Dublin is known for his active involvement and willingness to step up wherever help is needed. Recently, he chaired and supported the Tsawwassen Sunflower Festival Parade, proudly representing the club. He also volunteered at the Yulemarche Christmas event, assisting Santa PDG Drew as one of the cheerful elves—embodying the spirit of joy and service.

    Outside of academics and volunteering, Dublin enjoys exploring the open road on his motorcycle, finding freedom and inspiration in new places and experiences.

    As the Public Relations Director for 2025–2026, Dublin brings creativity, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility to promoting the club’s mission. His giving heart, resilience, and passion for helping others continue to make him an invaluable member of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604.



    Jinkee Celestino

    2025-2026 Admin Chair, Rotaract HOPE 604. Chartered member since 2023

    Jinkee Celestino is a dedicated and vibrant chartered member of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604. Known for her resourcefulness, joyful personality, and boundless energy, she is the kind of leader who always gives her all to help the club succeed. In 2025–2026, she proudly serves as the club’s Admin Chair.

    Before this role, Jinkee served as Treasurer for 2023–2024, bringing strong organization, integrity, and compassion to the position. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a degree in Radiologic Technology, and she has spent over 20 years working in the medical field across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the West Coast of Canada. Most of her professional journey has been dedicated to practical nursing—caring for patients with warmth and dedication. Today, she is also an entrepreneur, running her own small retail business serving the healthcare sector.

    Jinkee’s heart for service shines brightly in Rotaract. She is the club’s Second Top Builder Champion, having successfully recruited more than seven members—a testament to her enthusiasm, influence, and love for community. She is always one of the first to volunteer, the first to cheer others on, and the first to brighten the room with positivity.

    In her free time, Jinkee enjoys shopping, traveling, and discovering new cultures through social and professional networks. She deeply values genuine friendship and teamwork, living out her favorite quote: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” — Helen Keller

    Amen Shafiq

    2025-2026 President Elect, Rotaract HOPE 604. Chartered member since 2023

    Amen Shafiq is a creative, dedicated, and visionary leader from Pakistan, known for her artistic talent, strategic thinking, and passion for community service. A chartered member since 2023, she now proudly serves as the President-Elect for 2025–2026, preparing to lead the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604 as President in the 2026–2027 term.

    Amen first made her mark in the club as the Social Media and Marketing Director (2023–2024), where her creativity and innovation shaped the identity of Rotaract HOPE 604. She is the brilliant mind behind the club’s name HOPE 604—an acronym for Helping Others and Promoting Empowerment—a name that reflects the spirit and mission of the organization. She also designed the club’s official logo, created countless posters, and developed visually compelling online content that helped strengthen the club’s presence and attract new members.

    Beyond her leadership, Amen is an artist at heart. She has a deep appreciation for visual arts, enjoys immersing herself in gaming worlds, and occasionally shares her gaming experiences with her followers. She is also a talented culinary creator who loves experimenting with flavours, delighting friends and family with dishes that showcase her creativity. During quieter moments, she turns to literature—her sanctuary for reflection, imagination, and inspiration.

    Amen’s blend of creativity, and forward-thinking leadership makes her one of the club’s most influential young leaders. As President-Elect, she continues to uplift members, amplify the club’s visibility, and lay the foundation for an even brighter future for Rotaract HOPE 604.



    Christine de Castro

    Christine de Castro served as the President of the Rotaract Club of HOPE 604 from October 2023 to 2025, guiding the club through its formative years with strength, and she is an enabling leader, expert in delegating task to other directors. Because the club officially launched in October 2023, her presidency was extended for a second year—an acknowledgment of her good leadership, communication skills, and ability to inspire unity within a diverse group of young leaders.

    Christine holds a Post-Degree Diploma in Business Administration and has a strong background in Information Technology. She began her professional journey at Cambridge University Press and later expanded her expertise through roles in multinational companies and innovative startups. A skilled project manager, business analyst, and now a product owner at a Canadian credit union, she is known for her strategic thinking and ability to deliver meaningful solutions. Christine is also a co-owner of a small business, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and versatility.

    Beyond her career, Christine lives with curiosity and passion. She enjoys exploring different cultures through food, art, and travel. She is also an avid surfer and pole sports athlete, embracing challenges that push her mind and body. Her commitment to service extends to her past involvement with organizations supporting women and children—a cause that remains close to her heart.
